How long have you been involved with the Narraweena Hawks and what is your connection the club?
Personally this will be my second year. My child Sione, plays in the Under 7’s team. This is Abate’s first year as a sponsor.
Tell us a bit about your business
Abate Fire Protection Services is a family owned and operated, fire safety maintenance company based on the Northern Beaches.
We have been operating for more than 20 years, and we service all of Sydney Metro and beyond.
Our reach extend as far north as Cessnock/Newcastle and down south as far as Nowra and the surrounding areas.
We conduct inspections and testing of all fire safety measures, and issue Annual Fire Safety Statements and/or certification.
Why is being a sponsor important to you?
As a business, we don’t rely heavily on advertisement to win work – our work is gain mainly through word of mouth and through existing relationships.
However, it’s good to have our name (and our presence) out in the community in which we live and operate.
We also love supporting local clubs/teams, especially as we have young families.
What has been the highlight of the 2024 season?
Seeing Abate on the jerseys is fantastic! I think it looks great!
I think seeing the Hawkes play in multiply GFs at Brookvale Oval will top that.
What would you like to see at the Narraweena Hawks in the future?
I think an upgrade to the club house and amenities is much needed.
I think overall the club is great. The management is great, and the volunteers (the regulars) do a fantastic job as well.
